Ms. Ellen Pieroni
Senior Jazz Director, Junior Jazz Director, Jazz Improv Elective
Ms. Ellen Pieroni is a Buffalo-based musician and educator. Ms. Pieroni earned her Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music Education degrees from Buffalo State College, where her major instrument was saxophone. Ms. Pieroni is a faculty member at South Park High School in the Buffalo Public School District. At South Park, Ms. Pieroni conducts Concert Band, Beginner Band, Jazz Combo, instrumental lessons, and an African Drumming Ensemble. Ellen is also a professional musician in the Buffalo area. She specializes in jazz and plays with a number of combos and big bands, but also plays a variety of different genres. She has her own band – Ellen Pieroni & the Encyclopedia of Soul – and collaborates with many other performing groups in the Buffalo area.

Ellen Pieroni has been attending Bristol Hills Music Camp for 14 years - 3 years as a camper, 1 year as a CIT, 5 years as a counselor, and this will be her 5th year on the staff. At camp, Ms. Pieroni directs the Junior and Senior Jazz Ensembles, teaches the Jazz Improvisation elective, and teaches saxophone lessons.
